SEPACK LAB s.r.l. (Safety Evaluation Packaging Laboratory), founded in 2009 by Valter Rocchelli and Mara Baronciani, is a company specialized in laboratory analysis of Materials and Objects in Contact with Food (MOCA).

Sepack Lab is a laboratory Accredited ACCREDIA, the Italian accreditation body, in compliance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
Sepack Lab is the Accredited testing laboratory No. 1819 L.

In particular, Sepack Lab performs the follwing analysis:

•      Overall and specific migration to verify the compliance with the regulations in force of materials coming into contact with food

•      Determination of residual contents of listed and non-listed compounds

•      Sensory analysis and risk assessment of toxicological damage

•      Physical-mechanical tests: traction, COF, resistance to delamination

•      Functionl barrier evaluation:

o  of a primary packaging against contaminants from secondary packaging

o  virgin plastic layers in which a recovery plastic layer is inserted

•      Challenge test: studies for the verification of decontamination processes of recycled plastic coming into contact with food, as required by EC Regulation 282/2008

•      Determination of mineral oil in packaging materials, both in plastic and paper materials: MOSH/ POSH and MOAH
